Terms and Conditions
1.Information on how to enter and the prizes form part of these conditions of entry. Entry into the competition is deemed acceptance of the terms and conditions.
2.Entry is open to all residents of Australia aged 18 years or over who are at the time of entry are members of the Red Carpet Movie Club.
3.The Promoter is Paramount Pictures Australia. Employees of Paramount Pictures Australia, Salmat Interactive and their advertising agencies, subagents, respective employees and their immediate families are ineligible to enter.
4.Promotion commences Thursday 9th April 2009 6:00 pm and closes Thursday 14th May 2009 11:59pm. All times referred to are Australian Eastern Standard Time the winners will be drawn at 9:00 am Tuesday 19th May 2009 at Salmat Interactive, Innovation Place Level 17, 100 Arthur Street, North Sydney NSW 2060. Winners will be notified in writing and phone within 2 working days for the draw and published in the public notices of The Australian on Friday 22nd May 2009. Winners will also be published online at www.startrek.com.au
5.There is one major prize to be won consisting of 1 x Toshiba Rgza 42" XV560A LCD TV (RRP $2859) and 1 x Toshiba Satellite M300 Notebook (RRP $1899)
6.The Total prize pool is valued at $4,758 at the time of printing.
7.To enter, entrants must go online to www.startrek.com.au or the wap site y7.2mymob.com/st and click on the competition link to complete the relevant fields as requested. Those that wish to participate in this competition and are not members of the Red Carpet Movie Club will be given the opportunity to join the club. There is no charge for joining the club all terms and conditions for club membership can be found at http://www.paramount pictures .com.au/ movieclub/.
8.The prize is not transferable or redeemable for cash, prize must be taken as offered.
9.Entries without the required information will be deemed incomplete and will not count towards an entry into the Promotion.
10.The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in the value of the prizes. All prize values are in Australian dollars.
11.Any change in the value of the prize between the publishing date and the date prizes are claimed is not the responsibility of the promoter/s.
12.It is the participant's responsibility to advise the promoter of any change of address details.
13.Once the prize has left the Promoter's premises they are no liable for any damage or late delivery of the prize.
14.Participants will receive an additional entry for downloading the online widget available on www.startrek.com.au a further additional entry is awarded to the original participant if the widget is downloaded at the participants recommendation.
15.Entry times will in all cases be when the entry is received by the database of the service provider not when the entry was submitted.
16.Entries via any computer generated automated system will be deemed ineligible and will not be entered into the draw.
17.The winners release the Promoter from any and all causes of action, losses, liability, damage, expense (including legal expenses) cost or charge suffered, sustained or in any way incurred by the winner as a result of any loss or damage to any physical property of the winner, or any injury to or death of any person arising out of, or related to, or in any way connected with the Promoters or the prize.
18.The promoter is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, either caused by you or for any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilised in the competition, or for any technical error, or any combination thereof that may occur in the course of the administration of the competition including any omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line or telephone, mobile or satellite network failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to or alteration of entries.
19.In the event of war, terrorism, state of emergency, disaster or (without limitation) any other event outside our reasonable control, we are entitled to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition - subject to any written directions from the various regulatory bodies responsible for supervising the conduct of the competition (the Lotteries Departments).
20.If for any reason the competition is not capable of running as planned (including but not limited to) technical failures, unauthorised intervention, fraud or any other causes beyond our control which corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this competition, we are entitled in our sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and (subject to any written directions given by the various Lotteries Departments), to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition.
21.The winners release the Promoter from any and all causes of action, losses, liability, damage, expense (including legal expenses) cost or charge suffered, sustained or in any way incurred by the winner as a result of any loss or damage to any physical property of the winner, or any injury to or death of any person arising out of, or related to, or in any way connected with the Promoters or the prize.
22.In the event of a third party other than the promoter cancelling any event related to this prize, the promoter cannot be held responsible.
23.If a prize is unclaimed, a second draw will be held at 3:00pm Friday 21st August 2009 at the office of Salmat Interactive, Innovation Place Level 17, 100 Arthur Street, North Sydney NSW 2060 and any resulting winner will be published in The Australian on Tuesday 25th August 2009.
24.All entries become the property of the Promoters. All entries will be entered into a database and the Promoter may use the entrants' names and addresses for future promotional, marketing and publicity purposes.
1.The winner agrees to participate in any news media activities surrounding the promotion.
2.Paramount Pictures Australia and Salmat Interactive collect your information to include you in this competition and will disclose the information to others who help us run the competition. We may also use the information to assist us in improving our goods and services and to contact you in the future in regard to our other goods and services. We may share your information with other persons or entities that assist us in performing the above or with another company which provides prizes for the competition.
